Somo. Ribamontán al Mar (Cantabria)
The house is composed of stacked, pure volumes, where geometry is balanced by the warmth of natural materials. Clean, bold horizontal lines create a serene presence that seems to rest effortlessly within the landscape, while generous overhangs shelter outdoor living spaces and modulate the changing light throughout the day.
The continuous white envelope enters into dialogue with the texture of timber, introducing a more intimate, domestic scale. Exposed concrete and slender metal profiles complete a restrained material palette, in which each element expresses its inherent character without artifice. The result is an architecture of subtle contrasts: solid yet light, warm yet mineral, open yet intimate.
As evening falls, the house takes on a different character. Interior light transforms it into a warm, inhabited presence, while the clarity of its forms stands out against the fading sky.
