This luxury residential complex is located in the center of Pedreña, on a plot with a steep east-west slope and privileged views of Santander Bay. Its integration into the terrain is achieved through a system of terraces that form a stepped checkerboard pattern at different levels, respecting the original topography.
Each home is set on a platform raised above the ground to maximize the views of the bay. To mitigate the visual impact of the concrete retaining walls, plant screens made up of climbing vines are incorporated, promoting harmonious integration with the natural environment.
Access to the homes is via a new winding road that adapts to the slope, facilitating the connection between the residential street located at the upper level and the main road located at the lower level. The garages are located in basements that emerge naturally along the different levels, taking advantage of the topography to blend in discreetly.
The architecture responds to a contemporary language with simple, refined geometry. A white box rests on a solid gray base, while the attic, also gray, is topped with light porches equipped with awnings that provide shade and thermal comfort. The ventilated facades combine elegant aesthetics with improvements in energy efficiency and interior comfort.
The main rooms face westward views, opening onto private gardens through large sliding balconies. On the ground floor, the unified living room, dining room, and kitchen space encourages a fluid and direct relationship, especially designed for vacation use. The porches act as shading elements that regulate solar incidence during the warm months, optimizing thermal comfort.
The interiors stand out for their simple and warm design, where wooden floors and details add warmth and a natural connection with the surroundings. Finally, the attic is configured as a privileged space, giving way to a large terrace open to the bay, offering panoramic views and a unique experience.
